Esther M. Stouffer

Esther M. Stouffer, 84, of N. Wayne St., died Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home in New Castle. She was born August 13, 1927 in Hillsville, a daughter of the late Floyd and Myrtle (Coughlin) Thompson. She was married to William J. Stouffer who died March 16, 2001. Mrs. Stouffer was a bus driver for George Ku and Allied Transportation for over 15 years. She enjoyed bowling, baking cookies, especially at Christmas, she was a member of the LAFF Club, and loved her family and grandchildren very much.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ryan and her husband Pete of New Castle, and Patty West and her husband John of New Castle, five grandchildren, Krista Froce, Marc & Melissa West, Alissa Ryan & Sean Novak, Petey Ryan, and Matthew & Meagan West, and eight grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, Niko, Cameron, Antonio, Gianna, Adyden, and Logan.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lewis, John, Paul, Walter, and Floyd Thompson, and six sisters, Lucy Thompson, Irene Christ, Ruth Helbley, Elizabeth List, Mary Seroncey, and Helen Kepp. Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dick Allen will be officiating. Burial will be in the Muddy Creek Cemetery in Muddy Creek, PA.
