Douglas J. Rice

Douglas J. Rice, 32, of W. Madison Avenue, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 in New Castle. He was born July 6, 1978 in New Castle, a son of Duwayne Rice and Francis (Frasto) Nunley. His parents both survive in New Castle. Mr. Rice was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed helping others and spending time with his children.

He is also survived by one daughter, Evie Chill of New Castle, one son, Brenden Joseph Rice of New Castle, one brother, Duey Rice and his wife Kathy of Transfer, PA, one sister, Michele Rice of Butler, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Steve Palsa of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
