Edith Rossi Morella

Edith Rossi Morella, 83, of Wooley Avenue, formerly of Pearson Street, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born February 16, 1927 in Brent, PA, a daughter of the late Guiseppi and Angelina (Bucci) Rossi. She was married to Thomas J. Morella who died April 28, 1991. Mrs. Morella was a member of St. Vitus Church and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Dukes and enjoyed bingo.

She is survived by one son, Ralph L. Morella and his companion Judith Price of New Castle, two daughters, Angela Quarterson of New Castle, and Cindy Russo and her fiancé Mark Hunyadi of New Castle, one brother, Joseph Rossi of New Castle, one sister, Ann DiCarlo of New Castle, five grandchildren, Raeann Quarterson, Dr. Kylee Quarterson, Adrien Neill and husband Chase, Randy Russo and wife Vanessa, and Nikki Lynn Russo, two great grandchildren, Van and Mackenzie Neill, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, one brother, John Rossi, and three sisters, Lucy Calgelia, Mary Danish, and Louise Spinelli.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M.

A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 4 P.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
