Rose M. Rainey, 87, of 115 W. Wabash Ave., New Castle, died Thursday morning, March 29, 2007 at her home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born July 5, 1919 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of Antonio and Mary (Domenick) DiDomenico. Her parents precede her in death. She was married to Albert ‘Monk’ Rainey who died on March 13, 1970. Mrs. Rainey worked at Castle Hills Golf Course as a starter and ran the concession stand for over 30 years. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, the Holy Rosary Society of St. Lucy Church, the St. Marguerite 87 Club and was a member of a group of childhood friends call the Variety Club for over 60 years. She was an avid bowler and a member of various area bowling leagues for many years.

She is survived by one brother, William ‘Willie’ DiDomenico of New Castle, PA and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carmen Domenick and Louis ‘Fatty’ Domenick, and two sisters, Mary George and Marie Veri.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, April 1, 2007 from 5 to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 2, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lucy Church. Father Kenneth Keene of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
