Grant 'Sonny' C. Miller

Grant C. ‘Sonny’ Miller, Jr., 68, of Churchill RD, Hillsville, PA, went home to the Lord, Friday morning, March 30, 2007 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born June 12, 1938 in Portersville, Pennsylvania a son of Grant C. and Tresa (Weidenhof) Miller, his parents precede him in death. Mr. Miller was married to Corrine (Trott) Miller who died September 15, 1985. He is married to Kathy Nickle Pandice who survives in Hillsville. Mr. Miller was a truck driver for Cioffi Trucking Co. for 5 years. He previously worked on the Pacific Railroad and at Sechan Trucking in the quarry. He was a member of the Jagielly Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons, David Miller of New Castle, PA, Frank Miller and his wife Tina of Hillsville, PA, Michael Miller of New Castle, PA, Paul Ritenour and his wife Tracy of Canfield, OH, Jason Miller of Williamsport, PA, and Larry Miller of Hillsville, PA, four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Corrine) Metrocavige of New Castle, PA, Mary Ann Klingensmith of New Castle, PA, Thressa Miller of Milesburg, PA, and Nicola Miller of Hillsville, PA, one step-son, Michael Pandice of New Castle, PA, two brothers, Kenneth Miller of New Castle, and Gary Miller and his wife Cheryl of Florida, two sisters, Joyce Powell of New Castle, PA, and Mrs. Jerry (Karen) Shafftic of Doylestown, OH, sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Robert Miller, and his brother Charles Miller.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
