Barbara H. Hietsch

Barbara H. Hietsch, 91, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Mathews Way, New Castle, died Thursday evening, April 26, 2007 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born October 4, 1915 in Munich, Germany, a daughter of the late Richard and Barbara Bomke. She was married to Alfred M. Hietsch who died on April 1, 1983. Mrs. Hietsch was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Herta Pidro and her husband Albert of New Castle, PA, one sister, Liselotte Schaefer of Munich, Germany, and one granddaughter, Erika Holmes of Pittsburgh, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Bomke, and two sisters, Martha Trombetta and Erna Resch.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2007 at 10:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
