Wanda M. Allwine

Wanda M. Allwine, 88, formerly of New Castle, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in New Symrna Beach, FL. She was born February 6, 1923 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Harry and Elma Smiley. She was married to John E. Allwine who preceded her in death on August 1, 1975. In her earlier years, she worked for Hillview Manor Retirement Home. She was a member of the Church of Genesis. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling and sewing, but most important to her was her faith and family.

She is survived by two sons, John Allwine and wife, Sandy, of Ellwood City, PA and David Allwine and wife, Denise, of New Castle; two daughters, Pam Fiello and husband, Michael, of Oak Hill, FL and Susan Pasqualino and husband, Rick, of Davie, FL; two sisters, Mable Ruby of New Castle and Helen Audria of New Smyrna Beach; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Menken and Virginia Calvert.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. with a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Church of Genesis, 303 N. Cedar Street, New Castle with Rev. Ron Eade officiating.
