Clifford Lee Davis, Sr.

Clifford Lee Davis, 83, of Eastbrook Road, Hickory Twp., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born March 19, 1928 in Georgestation, Pennsylvania a son of the late Frank and Mary (Fillet) Davis. He was married to Alberta D. (Moore) Davis who died on April 14, 2004. Mr. Davis was a truck driver for Hubbadste Cement for 17 years. He also owned and operated Davis Repair on Croton Avenue and was a TV and Radio Technician. Mr. Davis was a Marine veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific. He also was an amateur Ham Radio Operator and received numerous citations and awards.

He is survived by two sons, Clifford L. Davis, Jr. and his wife Cathy, John E. Davis and his wife Liz, all of New Castle, one daughter, Linda Davis Baker and her husband Alvin of New Castle, one brother, James H. Davis of Port Orange, FL, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, John, and Ralph Davis, and four sisters, Mae Ceghetti, Kathleen Young, Ruth Wolfrey, and Dorothy O'Brien.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor David Bell of First United Brethren will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
