Glen R. Hoffman

Glen R. Hoffman, 82, of Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Walnut Street, Bessemer, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born April 15, 1929 in Flint, Michigan a son of the late Joseph and Bertina (Hall) Hoffman. He married Gloria Y. (Bailey) Hoffman on July 30, 1960, she survives in Elizabeth City, NC. Mr. Hoffman retired as a truck driver for Gennaro Paving after 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in Korea. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Mahoning Sportsmen’s Club, the St. Lucy Club, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three children, Joseph Hoffman and his wife Brenda of Elizabeth City, NC, Daniel Hoffman of Mercer, and Valerie Mayville and her husband Robert of Poland, OH, one sister, Linda Cachiolla of Lake Tahoe, NV, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Hoffman, and one sister, Luella Barrow.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
