Thomas A. 'Tim' Perod

Thomas A. ‘Tim’ Perod, 86, of Rhodes Estates, formerly of Lafayette St., New Castle, died Friday morning, May 18, 2007 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born April 9, 1921 in Youngstown, Pennsylvania a son of the late Nick and Gertrude (Beech) Perod. He was married to Esther J. (Castaldi) Perod, who died on December 19, 1993. Mr. Perod retired from Cold Metal Products in Youngstown, OH after 42 years as a machine operator. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Clubs and the NRA. He was also a member and past presidents of the St. Marguerite Mutual Beneficial Society. He was currently the treasurer of the Society. Mr. Perod was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and gardening.

He is survived by two sons, Nick Perod and Thomas M. Perod both of New Castle, PA, seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter Georgiann Krarup and nine brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20, 2007 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lucy Church. Father Frank Erdeljac will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
