Steve 'Sonny' Perrotta

Steve ‘Sonny’ Perrotta, 77, of Dushane St., New Castle, died Monday morning, May 28, 2007 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born October 29, 1929 in Hubbard, OH a son of the late Benjamin and Josephine (DiTommasso) Perrotta. Mr. Perrotta worked for Labor Union #941 for over 20 years. He was a social member of the Dukes’ Club, Jagielly Club and the Unione Calabrese Club. Mr. Perrotta also served with the National Guard 229th Infantry.
He is survived by, one brother, Jimmy Perrotta of New Castle, with whom he made is home, two sisters, Mary Chill and her husband Joseph and Nancie DeRosa and her husband Jimmy, both of New Castle, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Russo and Antonette Edwards and two brothers, Benjamin Perrotta, Jr. and Joseph ‘Duke’ Perrotta.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2007 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
A Blessing Service will be conducted Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petruralo of St. Vitus Church will celebrate. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
