Pearl R. Carbone

Pearl R. Carbone, 91, of E. Home Street, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born April 15, 1920 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Michael and Antionette (Ross) DelBene. She married Anthony H. Carbone on April 7, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1992. Mrs. Carbone was a homemaker and a member of St. Vitus Church. She was a member of Christian Mothers and enjoyed cooking, music, and playing bingo. She was also a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita R. Cartwright and her husband John, and Linette A. Cantakis and her husband Michael, all of New Castle, two grandchildren, Ashley Cantakis and Michael Cantakis, Jr., and one great granddaughter, Mariah McIltrot.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Frank, and Joseph DelBene, and five sisters, Lillian Cotellesse, Rose Neely, Madeline DelPrincipe, Mary Dudovich, and Lena Cook.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
