Patsy Micco, 95, of W. State Street, Edinburg, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his home in Edinburg. He was born October 30, 1915 in Lowellville, Ohio a son of the late Antonio and Maria Rosa (Fazzone) Micco. He married Rose (Arena) Micco on May 19, 1941, she survives in Edinburg. Mr. Micco was a heavy equipment operator for US Steel in Hillsville retiring after 27 years. He was an Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II serving in Europe. Mr. Micco was a member of the American Legion, the Johnson Club, and the Mahoning Sportsman’s Club and he enjoyed hunting and gardening.
He is also survived by three sons, Anthony Micco and his wife Nancy of Edinburg, Nicholas Micco and his wife Kathie of Bessemer, and Joseph Micco and his wife Angela of New Castle, one daughter, Elizabeth Micco of Edinburg, one brother, Domenick Micco of Edinburg, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Joseph Micco, and two sisters, Angeline Retone and Nellie Argiro.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Lawrence Church. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
