Elizabeth N. Quear, 84, of Elmwood Street, Union Twp., died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born March 25, 1927 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia Copple. She was married to Thomas W. Quear who died July 23, 1994. Mrs. Quear was a member of the Mary Mother of Hope Parish and the Sons of Italy. She enjoyed playing bingo, horse racing and Mountaineer Race Track, and sewing.
She is survived by seven children, Jessie A. Quear of New Wilmington, Angela E. McAllister and her companion John Uhrain of Youngstown, OH, Nancy L. Haybarger and her husband David of New Castle, Alex A. Quear and his wife Kathy of New Castle, Tommy A. Quear of New Castle, Mary J. Nestasie of West Pittsburg, and Joseph Quear and his companion Judy Pauletich of New Castle, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Carmen, Frank, James, and Alex Copple, one sister, Angela Copple, one grandson, and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.
Blessing services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of Mary Mother of Hope Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
