Edward J. Zehel

Edward J. Zehel, 88, of Vogan Street, died July 31, 2011 at his home in New Castle.
He was born January 8, 1923 in Acosta, PA, a son of the late Steven Zehel and Anna (Kushnir) Komara Zehel. Mr. Zehel was a welder and worked in maintenance for US Steel retiring after 13 years. He also was a member of the GBU club and enjoyed playing the violin.
He is survived by two nieces and a number of cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Komara.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 5:30 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
