Alice V. Cook, 95, of Oak Park Lane, Union Twp., died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born February 15, 1916 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ritza (Graty) Lambo. She was married to Anthony ‘Tony’ Cook who died April 13, 1979. Mrs. Cook retired from the casting shop at Shenango China after over 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies of the Dukes and loved to cooking, baking, and crocheting. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Venice L. Stasko and her husband Steve of New Castle, and Anthony ‘Butch’ Cook and his wife Kathleen ‘Cookie’ of New Castle, five grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John Lambo, and one sister, Jessie Cook.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Sean Francis of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
