Anita Mary Cresce, 92, of South Market Street, New Wilmington, died on Sunday Aug. 14, 2011, at the Shenango Presbyterian Senior Care Center.
Born July 4, 1919, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine Pularco Audia. She was married to the late Arthur R. Cresce Sr., who died in April, 2011.
Mrs. Cresce loved to cook and bake. She retired from the Maryland Public School System, where she was a cook in the cafeteria of Oxon Hill School for 15 years.
She was a member of St Vitus Church.
Survivors include three sons, Fred A. Cresce and wife Anna-Lisa of New Castle, Arthur R. Cresce Jr. and wife Betsy of Davidsonville, Md. and Lawrence J. Cresce and wife Debra-Siday of Culpepper, Va.; two sisters, Rose Stieger of Phoenix, Ariz., and Esther Audia of New Castle; a brother, Butch Audia of California; and five grandchildren.
There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vitus Church with the Rev. Frank Almade as celebrant.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, Frank and Mike Audia; and a sister, Louise Malley.
