Karen L. Williams, 57, of 508 E. Lutton St. died at Jameson Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011.
Born July 9 1954, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Freda Albert Angelo. She was married to Robert L. Williams for the past 16 years.
Karen worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Silver Oaks Nursing Center for the past 15 years. She was a wrestling fan and enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was involved in child care and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, survivors include seven children, Wendy Styranec and husband Stephen of Younstown, Tawnya Padilla and husband Emmanuel of Youngstown, George Hurd and wife Maryann, Jeremy Hurd, Michael Klein Jr., Hollie Klein and Stephanie Klein, all of New Castle; three brothers, Joseph Jr. and Raymond Angelo of New Castle, George Angelo of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Rose Bame of New Castle; and 20 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother, David Angelo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. AUG. 22 at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. following visitation and conducted by Bishop Patricia Young. Burial will be at St. Vitus Cemetery.
