Gordon D. Rees, Jr.

Gordon D. Rees, Jr., 31, of Morton Street, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born January 10, 1980 in New Castle, the son of Gordon D. Rees, Sr. and Laurie (Brunswick) Lyverson. Mr. Rees was a custodian at the Scottish Rite Cathedral for 6 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing sports, and was a member of the New Castle Thunder for several years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Julie M. (Alwin) Rees of New Castle, his stepfather, Raymond Lyverson of New Castle, two sons, Jordon Randall of New Castle, and Logan Rees of Ellwood City, PA, his sister, Christina Lyverson of New Castle, his grandmother, Lois Brunswick of New Castle, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by twin sons, Joseph and Joshua Rees.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mark Kauffman of Jubilee Ministries International will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
