Mary Jane Paglia

Mary Jane Paglia, 65, of Wilmington Rd., New Castle, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her home in New Castle. She was born August 16, 1946 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy (Lostracco) Bertone, Sr. She was married to Alessandro Paglia who died September 8, 1986. Mrs. Paglia loved cooking, spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bingo and going to casinos.
She is survived by four children, Anna Alfera and her husband Jason, Lucia Paglia, and Blaise Paglia and his wife Lindsay, all of New Castle, and Beth Paglia of Mooresboro, NC, one brother, Joseph Bertone of Sunberry, PA, one sister, Patricia Bertone of New Castle, and three granddaughters, Natalie, Sydney, and Maggie Alfera all of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and James Bertone.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Sean Francis of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
