Antoinette 'Shorty' T. Short

Antoinette T. ‘Shorty’ Short, 63, of S. Liberty St., New Castle, died Thursday afternoon, July 19, 2007 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born December 4, 1943 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Dominick and Virginia (Rainey) Short. Ms. Short worked at Airway Industries for 22 years as a quality control supervisor, she then worked at Portola Packing in New Castle for 9 years. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish and the Women of Faith of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She enjoyed playing the slots and spending time helping at the Gourmet Place.

She is survived by one son, Dominick J. Short of Philadelphia, PA, and two sisters, Mrs. David (Sandra) Brumbaugh of Gastonia, NC, and Mrs. John (JoAnn) Yova of West Pittsburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph N. Short.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 23, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lucy Church. Father Kenneth Keene of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
