Delores J. Watkins

Delores J. Watkins, 75, of Edison Manor, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born January 4, 1936 in New Castle, a daughter of the late James and Irene (Robinson) Ellis. Mrs. Watkins was a nurses’ aide at Highland Hall for 15 years. She was a member of St. John's Holy United Church, and enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and spending time with friends, family, and grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Darlene D. Rolle of New Castle, Catherine I. Watkins of New Castle, and Paulette J. Spragling-Fitzgerald of Akron, OH, fifteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three children, Doritha A. Allen, Leonard Allen, and Charlette Watkins, one brother, James Ellis, one sister, Pauline Johnson, and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at St. Johns Holy United Church, Moravia Street, on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Johns Holy United Church. Pastor Clarence Tucker of St. John's Holy United Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
