Sandra 'Sandy' Martino

Sandra ‘Sandy’ Martino, 88, of Mustang Ave., died Friday, December 16, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born February 17, 1923 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Antonio and Nicolina (Marcone) Martino. Miss Martino was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, the Women of Faith, and the 1937 Club.
She is survived by one brother, Tony Martino of LaHabra, CA, three sisters, Anna Franceschi and husband Bruno of Buena Park, CA, Delores ‘Dee’ Mrozek and husband Jack of New Castle, and Barbara Ann Schultheis and husband George of Jeannette, PA, sister-in-law, Sylvia Martino of New Castle, and a number of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Frank Martino, and three sisters, Phyllis Martino, Edith Scrocco, and Margaret ‘Micky’ Martino.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Father Frank Almade of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
