Rose Marie Genova

Rose Marie Genova, 88, of Shannon Ave., North Beaver Twp., died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at her home in New Castle. She was born June 21, 1923 in Hillsville, a daughter of the late John and Carmel (Violante) Chiaro. She was married to the late Raymond N. Genova who died July 30, 2001. Mrs. Genova was a member of Christ the King Parish and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and she babysat the children of numerous school teachers for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Loretta A. Bober of New Castle, one son, Nick R. Genova of Niles, OH, one brother, John Chiaro, Jr. of New Castle, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, Carmen, Frank, and George Chiaro, and three sisters, Pearl Chiaro, Theresa D'Orazio, and Velma Key.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony Church. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of Mary Mother of Hope will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 AM. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Bessemer.
