Bernard C. Giancola

Bernard C. Giancola, 88, of Ashberry Lane, New Castle, died Sunday evening, April 3, 2005 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born October 8, 1916 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Augustine and Tarsilla Giancola, they precede him in death. He married the former Margaret M. DeAngelis, they have been married for 61 years, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Giancola was a World War II veteran of the Army serving Stateside and a member of St. Camillus Church. He was a manager at the Simon Blau Co. and Oscar Levine Co. both in New Castle for many years. He also was a member of the American Legion and an avid golfer and pool player.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Berneta A.) Gebhardt of Pittsburgh, PA, one sister, Esther Janacone of New Castle, PA, two nieces, one nephew and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Augustine Giancola & Orest Giancola, and his sister Ann Giancola.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-9 pm.

Blessing services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Phil Farrell of St. Camillus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
