Rodney S. Shropshire

Rodney S. Shropshire, 40, of 8th St., West Pittsburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Pulaski Township. He was born March 1, 1971 in New Castle, a son of the late John Jack and Shirley Ann (Hall) Shropshire. He was married to Stacey Lynn (Bessell) Shropshire on September 29, 2001, she survives in West Pittsburg. Mr. Shropshire was a machinist at CCL Container and Ellwood Crank Shaft and Machine in Hermitage for many years. He was a graduate of Neshannock High School, and was active in New Castle Amateur Baseball as a coach and New Castle Youth Basketball as a coach, he also was an avid Steelers fan. Mr. Shropshire was a wonderful family man and a devoted father and husband.

He is survived by four children, Jordan T. Shropshire, Tori N. Bessell Shropshire, Brendan J. Shropshire, and Collin S. Shropshire, all of West Pittsburg, one brother, Randy J. Shropshire and his fiancé Mary Ann of New Castle, and his mother-in-law, Shirley Ann (Nerti) Bessell of West Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Samuel L. Bessell.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Blessing services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Sean Francis of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating.
