Christine Sperdute Deangelo
January 11, 1922 — February 18, 2012
Christine Sperdute DeAngelo, 90, of N. Cedar St., died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle. She was born January 11, 1922 in Ashtabula, Ohio a daughter of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Colucci) Foglio. She was married to the late James S. Sperdute who died November 21, 1967. She then married the late Frank DeAngelo who died October 22, 2003. Christine loved and cherished her family more than anything. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and was an avid Jeopardy fan. She lived with dignity and grace and was loved by all who were fortunate to know her. She will be greatly missed.
She survived by three children, James A. Sperdute and his wife Kathie of Harmony, PA, Richard Sperdute and his wife Diana of Ellwood City, and Jude A. Sperdute of Ellwood City, one brother, Joseph Foglio of Ashtabula, OH, one sister, Audrey Wood of Ashtabula, OH, seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her step-son, Michael DeAngelo, her step-daughter, LouAnne Priddy, three brothers, Carmen, Andrew, and John Foglio, and two sisters, Ann Licate, and Diane Miller.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
Blessing services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
