Domenic L. Morgan, 86, of Adams St., died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Beaver, Pennsylvania. He was born April 26, 1925 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of Cesare A. and Filippina (Arone) Morgan. He was married to Jennie C. (Call) Morgan for 62 years, she died August 3, 2011. Mr. Morgan was a bricklayer and welder for Shenango China retiring after 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving on the USS Stockdale in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters as a motor machinist mate 2nd class. Mr. Morgan enjoyed golfing and bowling and loved talking with people. He was a loving husband, father, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by three sons, Domenic L. Morgan, Jr. of New Castle, James A. Morgan and his wife Susan of New Castle, and Richard A. Morgan of New Castle, one sister, Mary Plink of New Castle, and two grandchildren, Mitchell and Alexis Morgan.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Frank, and Anthony Morgan, and two sisters, Jennie Russo, and Josephine Simunaci.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of St. Joseph Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
