George P. Jackson, 84, a printer for P.R. Connell Co. in Pittsburgh, PA, where he worked for 20 years, died Tuesday evening, April 26, 2005 at his home in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was born December 26, 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of Andrew and Mary (Grosby) Jackson, they precede him in death. Mr. Jackson was a an Army veteran of World War II and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by 3 children, Paul Jackson of Irwin, PA, Janet Paskarnis of Rutherfordton, NC, and Gayle Monta of Orlando, FL, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ted Jackson and 3 sisters, Helen Staudt, Ann Laverty and Irene Abbott.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
