Rosarie ‘Hazel’ Rully, 93, of Rhodes Place, formerly of E. Lutton Street, died Monday, March 26, 2012 at her home in New Castle. She was born March 15, 1919 in San Arsenio, Italy a daughter of the late Biagio and Ann Marie (Dalto) Vericella. She was married to the late Frank Rully who died December 7, 2003. Mrs. Rully was a homemaker and a member of St. Vitus Church. She was a member of Christian Mothers and the Democratic Women and worked election polls for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards and gambling. Mrs. Rully loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy A. Van Horn and her husband Robert of Ellwood City, and Ann M. Smith and her husband Abram ‘Chuck’ of New Castle, two sisters, Ann Colella and Theresa Jamrozik both of New Castle, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Heileman, two brothers, Sebastian and Arsenio Vericella, and four sisters, Antoinette Corio, Agnes Somma, Rose Fera, and Mary Romano.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
