Martha June Lewis, 63, Barron RD, Slippery Rock, PA, died Saturday morning, May 14, 2005 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born March 30, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Miller) Schwoebel, her father precedes her in death, her mother survives in Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. Lewis was an operator for Verizon Telecommunications retiring after 20 years. She was a Navy veteran stationed at the US Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA. She was very active in the Girl Scout serving as a Troop Leader for many years and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her mother she is survived by 3 daughters, Suzi Falgione of Fayetteville, NC, Joyce Mesa of New Castle, PA and Georgina Myers of New Castle, PA, 4 sons, Ronald Lewis of New Castle, PA, Michael Arlo Lewis, Jeffrey Beals of Slippery Rock, PA
and James Lewis of Orlando, FL, 2 brothers, William Schwoebel of Charlotte, NC and Gordon Davis of Pittsburgh, PA and 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ferdinand Church, 2635 Rochester RD, Cranberry Twp., PA. Pastor John Gallagher of St. Ferdinand Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Pine Wood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Twp.
