Dale E. O'Brien

Dale E. O'Brien, 87, of Coates Ave., New Castle, died Tuesday morning, May 17, 2005 at Indian Creek Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born March 31, 1918 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Charles and Frances (Hoover) O'Brien, they precede him in death. He married the former Betty M. Davis who died in 2002. Mr. O'Brien was a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail retiring after 28 years and was a World War II veteran of the Army serving in Germany and Northern France.
He is survived by 1 son, Kenneth Phillips of Erie, PA, 1 daughter, Helen Tuff of Erie, PA, 5 step-children, 2 sisters, Florence O'Brien of New Castle, PA and Shirley Hogue of New Castle, PA and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by 4 brothers Charles, Harold, Francis and John O'Brien, and his sister Dorothy O'Brien.
Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
