Nellie Mediate

Nellie Mediate, 86, of Franklin Ave., New Castle, died Wednesday morning, September 26, 2007 at Hospice of the Valley in Boardman, Ohio. She was born January 5, 1921 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Anthony and Barbara (Luscre) Mediate. Miss Mediate retired from the Shenango Pottery as a liner after 44 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Church and a devout Catholic.
She is survived by one brother, Frank S. Mediate of Poland, OH and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Sandora.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 28, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Robert Schweitzer of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Hillsville, PA.
