Marguerite C. Deangelo

Marguerite C. DeAngelo, 86, 125 W. North St., New Castle, formerly of Pearson St., New Castle, died Wednesday evening, September 26, 2007 at Beaver Valley Medical Center in Beaver, Pennsylvania. She was born January 18, 1921 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Alquin) DeRose. She was married to Alfred DeAngleo, who died on February 22, 1997. Mrs. DeAngelo graduated from Robert Morris College with an Associates Degree in Accounting and was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association. She worked as a legal secretary for various Attorneys in the Beaver County area. She then worked for the Beaver County Housing Authority and was a legal secretary at the Beaver County Courthouse for the County Judges for many years. Mrs. DeAngelo retired after 26 years from the Lawrence County Courthouse as the secretary for the County Commissioners. She was a member of the St. Vitus Church and the Christian Mothers of the church and a member of the Ladies Guild of St. Francis Hospital and operated the Hostess Shop at the Hospital for many years. Mrs. DeAngelo enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics and loved baking cakes and decorating cakes.

She is survived by two sons, Alfred James DeAngelo and his wife Marianne of Economy Boro, PA, and Thomas Anthony DeAngelo and his wife Roxane of New Castle, PA, one daughter, Anita Louise Amabile and her husband Norman of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, one step-son, Anthony DeAngelo and his wife Marisol of Butler, PA, four brothers, Patrick DeRose of Carlsbad, CA, Louis DeRose of New Brighton, PA, Jack DeRose of Beaver Falls, PA, and Edward DeRose of Beaver Falls, PA, one sister, Alice Allison of Las Flores, CA, six grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Ernest DeRose.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle, on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
