Rose P. Evanoski, 86, of W.. Clayton St., died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born October 3, 1925 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Theresa (Ezzo) Russo. She was married to the late Constant J. Evanoski, Jr. who died March 18, 1970. Mrs. Evanoski worked at the Box Factory during World War II and then worked as a decorator at Shenango China and as a cashier at Cash and Carry for many years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and the Holy Rosary Society of St. Lucy Church. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing bingo and going to the casino. She also loved her grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments and degrees.

She is survived by eight children, Constant J. Evanoski, III and his wife Leslie of Altoona, PA, Theresa R. Terza and her husband S. Richard of Manassas, VA, Karen H. Evanoski of New Castle, John A. Evanoski and his wife MaryAnn of Tuscon, AZ, Dennis A. Evanoski and his wife RoseMary of Bradenton, FL, Kenneth F. Evanoski of New Castle, Bernadette M. Cashier and her husband William of New Castle, and Vincent P. Evanoski of New Castle, three brothers, Father Francis X. Russo, OFM Cap of Washington, DC, Father Reginald Russo, OFM Cap of Pittsburgh, PA, and Vincent Russo of New Castle, two sisters, Mary Calabrese and Irene Scarmazza, both of New Castle, eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother Anthony Russo and one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Francis X. Russo, OFM Cap and Father Reginald Russo, OFM Cap, brothers of the deceased will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
