James A. 'Micky' Mccormick

James A. ‘Micky’ McCormick, 48, of E. Laurel Ave., lost his battle with cancer, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at his home in New Castle. He was born March 14, 1964 in New Castle, a son of Starlene (Brown) Gottberg of New Castle. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Earl Gottberg. Mr. McCormick worked at the Cheese Factory in West Middlesex for 3 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles & playing tennis and he loved the Rolling Stones. Mr. McCormick was also a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is survived by two brothers, Paul McCormick and Daniel Gottberg, both of New Castle, two nieces, Katie and Candy McCormick and two nephews, Samuel and Daniel Gottberg, and his fiancé Mary Ann Mehallic and her son Larry Shaffer.
A memorial service will be held, as per his wishes, Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Nero of Southern Care Hospice will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
