Clara A. Sabino

Clara A. Sabino, 92, of Paul St., formerly of Castleton Apartments, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, Pennsylvania. She was born February 25, 1920 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Angela (Audino) George. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, John T. Sabino who died December 23, 1977. Mrs. Sabino worked at Shenango Pottery as a decorator and Vital Fireworks in assembly. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and a member of Challenges. She enjoyed writing poetry, playing bingo, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen J. Gay and her husband James of New Castle, Carmi A. Sibeto and her husband Joseph of Carnegie, PA, and Toni Jo Scaduto and her husband John of New Castle, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John George, four sisters, Josephine Bounpane, Theresa George, Mary Jane Griffith, and Grace George, and one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Blessing services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery in New Castle.
