Esther E. Rico

Esther E. Rico, 80, of Dewey Ave., died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born April 7, 1932 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Charles and Jeannette (Venditto) Stone. She was married to Sam R. Rico, Sr. on June 5, 1951, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Rico worked for Shenango China, Hillview Manor and for Columbus Services for many years. She was an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. She also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Sam R. Rico, Jr. of New Castle, one daughter, Janet R. Schepp and her husband Anthony of Palm Harbor, FL, one brother, Charles Stone of New Castle, one sister, Helen Stone of New Castle, two grandchildren, Michael Palkovitch and Kayla Schepp, and one great granddaughter, Scarlet Palkovitch.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Orlando, and Michael Stone, and five sisters, Dolly Pallerino, Phyllis Haybarger, Angeline Ryan, Minnie Smith, and Laura DeMarco.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Blessing services will be held Monday, July 23, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Father Frank Almade of Mary Mother of Hope Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery in New Castle.
