Anthony 'Tony' Nuzzo

Anthony ‘Tony’ Nuzzo, 87, of 509 E. Friendship St., New Castle, died Friday afternoon, June 17, 2005 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born July 25, 1917 in East Chicago, Indiana the son of Anthony and Mary (DeRosa) Nuzzo, they precede him in death. He married Margaret M. Brasile Nuzzo on May 26, 1938, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Nuzzo worked as a machinist for over 20 years at United Engineering and Mesta Machine in New Castle. He owned and operated a heating and plumbing business for 20 years. Mr. Nuzzo was a former member of the Maitland Memorial Primitive Methodist Church and was very active in the church. He enjoyed gardening and flea markets and having his morning coffee with his friends discussing and solving world problems.

In addition to his wife he is survived by, 2 sons, Anthony D. Nuzzo of Conneaut Lake, PA and David R. Nuzzo of Evans City, PA, 1 brother, Domenick Nuzzo of New Castle, PA, 1 sister, Ruth Alessio of Sharon, PA, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Ralph Nuzzo, Frank Nuzzo, Augustine Nuzzo, and 2 Infant Brothers and his sister Julia Miller.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-8 pm.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
