Melvin L. Stamp, 70, of Pulaski Rd., died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born June 17, 1942 in Youngtown, Ohio a son of Edith (Tritt) Stamp. He married Toni L. (McIltrot) Stamp on November 30, 1990, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Stamp worked for the P&LE Railroad for 18 years, he then worked for Delphi-Packard Electric for 12 years. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and golfer and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by four children, Tim Stamp of Semi Valley, CA, Bill ‘Bud’ Adams and his companion Stephanie Hobel of Bessemer, PA, Donna Giles and her companion Jeff Bloise of New Castle, and Karen Adams of Masury, OH, three sisters, Mary Lou Tyree of McDonald, OH, Gloria Wise of Nashville, TN, and Eileen Tondo of McDonald, OH, and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Howard, Vern, Bill, Frank, Bob, and Jack Stamp, and one sister, Janet Stamp.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
