Donna J. Bongivengo

Donna J. Bongivengo, 69, of 2809 N. Beaver St., New Castle, died Wednesday afternoon, November 7, 2007 at Edison Manor Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born October 8, 1938 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Peter and Mae (Plink) Bordonaro. She was married to Frank P. Bongivengo, Sr. on August 9, 1958. He survives in New Castle. Mrs. Bongivengo was an office manager for Drs. Nord & Bower, retiring after 17 years. She previously worked for J. Potter, Inc. as an office manager. Mrs. Bongivengo was a member of the St. Vitus Church and enjoyed golfing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by, one daughter, Mrs. Patrick (Kimberly) Mechas of Pittsburgh, PA, one son, Frank P. Bongivengo, II and wife Karen of New Castle, PA, one sister, Santina Conti of New Castle, PA and four grandchildren, Michael and Gianna Bongivengo of New Castle and Bryan and Kevin Mechas of Pittsburgh, PA.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 5 pm to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 am. Entombment will be in the Parkside Mausoleum in New Castle.
