Charles R. Fair

Charles R. Fair, 67, of 14 Moyer Place, New Castle, died Monday morning, July 4, 2005 at his home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born February 3, 1938 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of James and Jennie (Scott) Fair, they precede him in death. He was married to Bonnie L. Wellman Fair who died February 9, 2004. Mr. Fair was a self-employed contractor for 25 years, prior to that he worked in maintenance at Airway Luggage for 12 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a former member of the GBU Club, Moose Club, Eagles Club and the VFW. Mr. Fair also loved kids and was a foster parent to over 85 children for many years.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Jammie Taylor of Grand Haven, MI, 1 son, Charles R. Fair, Jr. of New Castle, PA, 3 brothers, Robert Fair of Gaylord, MI, Nathan H. Fair of Irma, SC, and Albert S. Fair of New Castle, PA, 4 sisters, June Fusco of Edinburg, PA, Dorothy May Jaworski of New Castle, PA, Luella Pascarella of New Castle, PA, and Mable Pitzer of Chicago, IL and 3 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother James Fair, his brother Ralph Fair, his sister Shirley Ann Fair, his sister Marion Koscevic, his sister Donna Ragozzino, and his sister Joyce Irene Fair.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Joseph Langston will be officiating. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform a Military Funeral Service at the Funeral Home.
