Shirley Ferrari, 76, of 1006 Service St., New Castle, died Thursday morning, November 22, 2007 at her home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born September 5, 1931 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Charles and Philomena (General) Santillo. She was married to Rick Ferrari, Sr., who died on December 12, 1990. Mrs. Ferrari was a cashier at Joseph's Supermarket retiring after 35 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Church and a former member of the Eagle's Club. Mrs. Ferrari enjoyed dancing and yard work.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Ferrari, Jr. of New Castle, PA and Chucky Ferrari of New Castle, PA, one step-daughter, Denise Molinaro of New Castle, PA, three sisters, Mary Lou Smiley of New Castle, PA, Patricia Santillo of Hacienda Heights, CA, and Lucille Santillo of Austin, TX, six grandchildren and one step-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Tina Esposito and Margaret Lelenko.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, November 25, 2007 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 26, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Robert Schweitzer of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
