Marie J. Tuminello

Marie J. Tuminello, 85, of Jackson Avenue, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born September 3, 1927 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Carmen and Mary (Ross) Sheldone. She married Anthony Tuminello on February 15, 1947, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Tuminello worked at Smith Dry Cleaners and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies of the Knights, and enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by five daughters, Sandra Pecano and her husband Don of Canfield, OH, Carol Tuminello of New Castle, Toni Jean Pagley and her husband Tony of New Castle, Maria Izzo and her husband Larry of Kissimmee, FL, and Leanne Moore of New Castle, one brother, Carmen Sheldone and his wife Norma of New Castle, one sister, Joan 'Bubby' Szuba of New Castle, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Tuminello, four brothers, Anthony, Patsy, Domenick, and Jimmy Sheldone, and one sister, Viola ‘Babe’ DeJoseph.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father William Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
