Margaret A. 'Mickey' Martino

Margaret A. ‘Mickey’ Martino, 80, of W. Madison Ave., New Castle, died Tuesday morning, July 19, 2005 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born August 6, 1924 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Antonio and Nicolina (Marcone) Martino, they precede her in death. Miss Martino worked at the Shenango China in the clerical department retiring after 43 years. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #455, AARP, was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital for many years, a member of the former St. Francis Auxiliary, the Silver Thread Club, the She-Po-Co Club, the Italian American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, the Holy Rosary Society of St. Lucy Church and was a Judge of Elections in the 7th Ward for many years. She also was an avid sports fan of all sports.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Louis J. & Sylvia Martino of New Castle, PA, and Anthony T. Martino of La Habra, CA, 4 sisters, Sandy Martino of New Castle, PA, Mrs. Bruno (Anna) Franceschi of Buena Park, CA, Mrs. Jack (Delores) Mrozek of New Castle, PA, and Mrs. George (Barbara) Schultheis of Jeannette, PA and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Frank J. Martino, and 2 sisters, Phyllis Martino and Edith Scrocco.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 22, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lucy Church. Father Kenneth Keene of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
