Robert C. Hartman

Robert C. Hartman, 79, of Harlansburg Road, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born July 6, 1933 in Volant, Pennsylvania the son of the late Anthony ‘Tony’ Hartman and Harriet (Wilson) Hartman Bronson. He was married to Donna M. (Allen) Hartman on April 25, 1981, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Hartman was a kiln placer at Shenango China retiring after over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working and was an avid sports fan. He also loved his dogs and will be sadly missed by his dog Lucky.

He is survived by three children, Robert C. Hartman, Jr. of San Francisco, CA, Diana D. Lapsansky of Cranberry Twp., PA, and Eric Hartman of Belleville, MI, four step-daughters, Dianne J. Thompson of Hadley, PA, Claudia S. Sullivan of Sheakleyville, PA, Kathie A. Dale of Oil City, PA, and Lauretta J. Fisher of Greenville, PA, two sisters, Vina Caldwell of Grove City, PA, and Violet Buchanan of New Wilmington, PA, nine step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his step-son Kenneth Clark, his brother Francis Hartman, and his sister Irene Barcheck.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Robert Strobel will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
