Philomena Maiella

Philomena Maiella, 90, of N. Cascade St., New Castle, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born August 5, 1922 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Constance and Jenni DeRosa. She was married to the late Michael Maiella who died December 2000. Mrs. Maiella worked the counter at Cast Bakery for many years, she was also a runner for an Auction House. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spening time with family.
She is survived by one son, Michael A. Maiella of Hubbard, OH, three grandchildren, Harold, Michael, and Patrick Maiella, and two great grandchildren, Michelle and Emily.
She was preceded in death by her son David Maiella.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Blessing services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
