Rose Cioffi Vitale

Rose Cioffi Vitale, 93, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of New Castle, died Thursday morning, July 21, 2005 in Tucson, AZ. She was born October 24, 1911 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Pasquale and Lucia (Caserta) Cioffi, they precede her in death. She was married to Domenick ‘Monk’ Vitale who died in 2001. Mrs. Vitale worked at the Shenango China and Vitale Fireworks in New Castle before she moved to Tucson in 1953. In Tucson she worked for many years as a Nurses Aide at the Tucson General Hospital.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Lucille Padias of Tucson, AZ, 1 son, Joseph D. Vitale of New Castle, PA, 5 grandchildren, Joseph Padias of Tucson, AZ, Rosanne Cugini, Joni Cugini, and Bonita Morgan all of New Castle, PA, and Mary Jo Anderson of Hazelton, PA, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Christine Didiano, Nellie Mazzocco, and Mary Gurneal, and her granddaughter Linda Padias.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 28, 2005 at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, August 8, 2005 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm

A Blessing Service will be held Friday, August 8, 2005 at 12:30 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Erdeljac of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
