Charles Otis Pearce, Jr., 56, of Thornton Street, Sharon, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born April 19, 1956 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of the late Charles and Angeline (Geminiani) Pearce. Mr. Pearce worked for C. Pearce Services in Pittsburgh for many years. He was an installer and sales for retail displays. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was an avid Pitt Panthers fan, and enjoyed golfing and music, especially the blues.
He is survived by two children, Rachel M. Pearce of Pittsburgh, PA, and Nicholas C. Pearce of Bluefield, WV, two brothers, Dickie Pearce and his wife Marlene of Brookfield, OH, and Robert Pearce and his wife Young-Joo of Herndon, VA, one sister, Gail Pearce Stroup and her husband Stanley of Warren, OH, and his companion, Carol Angermuller of Pittsburgh.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Bill Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia Society, Pittsburgh Chapter.
