Leonard C. Odell

Leonard C. Odell, Jr., 80, of 191 W. Meyer Ave., New Castle, died Thursday morning, December 20, 2007 at Butler General Hospital in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was born January 12, 1927 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma a son of the late Leonard and Hazel (Coleman) Odell. He was married to Mary (Calandros) Odell, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Odell was a clerk for the United States Navy, retiring after 21 years. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, serving on the USS America, in Norfolk, VA. He was also a member of the VFW in Virginia.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three step-sons, Russell Petronelis of Ohio, Lewis Petronelis and George Petronelis both of New Castle, one brother, Carl J. Odell of Hobbs, NM, nine step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 10 am to 12 pm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. William Shaffer of New Castle Area Honor Guard will be officiating. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform a Military Funeral Service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
